Open Position: Injury Prevention Specialist, Shelbyville, IN
Ergonomics Plus helps leading companies keep their workplace athletes healthy, productive and in the game. Join our team, and do work that matters.
This, my fellow Athletic Trainers, is an amazing opportunity!
First, about us. Ergonomics Plus is a growing and progressive company in the workplace ergonomics and injury prevention space. We’re growing and successful because we don’t settle when it comes to our team members. We recognize that our company is only as strong as its people, so we’re looking for another superstar to join our team.
We’re on a mission to eliminate MSDs from the workplace. If you’d like to know more about the mission we’re on, you can check out our website at ergo-plus.com. Fair warning, you can get lost in there for months! Another fair warning, we’re going to ask you what you learned when you visited our website.
Next, about the client. In this position, you will be partnering with an incredibly committed and caring occupational health & safety leadership team in a central Indiana manufacturing facility not far from Indy. You’ll be working in a supportive team environment with an objective of enhancing workplace athlete performance and preventing musculoskeletal injuries. This company already has a robust MSD prevention process up and rolling, but wants to take it to the next level with our help. Exciting!
Feel free to give me a call at 765-384-4499 to learn more about this opportunity. My name is Mark.
We’re looking for a superstar Athletic Trainer; someone with a dynamic personality who is self-directed, passionate about helping people and a strong team player.
Self-directed. This position is for an on-site Athletic Trainer, which means you will provide services directly on-site at our client facility. While you will work closely with our client’s leadership team, you will also need to demonstrate the ability to manage your time and resources well.
Passionate about helping people. Chances are, you either have this one or you don’t. This job is about helping people stay healthy and improving their quality of life. We shouldn’t have to convince you that this is noble work. We can’t teach you to care. The right person for this position won’t be “following their passion” — they’ll be bringing it with them.
Strong team player. Ergonomics Plus is a small (and scrappy) company. We’re a tight-knit group of ATs and you won’t find a stuffy corporate atmosphere here. That said, we work hard and we expect team members to contribute to our success. In other words, we’re looking for someone who can drive the lane and put the ball in the hoop – with a slam dunk!
Of course, a solid educational background with AT certification/licensure is a must. Most importantly, a dynamic personality, passion for serving workplace athletes, and a desire to help clients overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Please include a cover letter letting us know why you’re the right person for the job.
Nice to Have
A couple years of experience in occupational rehabilitation or a workplace setting would be nice, and so would an advanced degree and/or certification in a related discipline. If you’re not already, we’ll get you up to speed in the ergonomic assessment department. If you don’t already have one, you’ll need to obtain an ergonomic evaluation certification ASAP.
